Ken Fagerberg

Ken Fagerberg (born 9 January 1989) is a Swedish football player. The striker left his homeland in 2008 towards Denmark.

Career

Fagerberg began playing football at Lindholmens BK. In 2000, the striker in the youth department of the traditional club Örgryte IS. In April 2007 he made his debut for the club in the Superettan. Right away he was able to earn a regular place and was distinguished by his marksmanship. In addition to twelve goals this season, which earned him the eighth place in the scorer, he prepared two more goals.

After his excellent start to the Men's Football Fagerberg was also appointed to the Swedish Under-18 selection and made his debut in a 1-0 success of the team against the youth team of Ajax Amsterdam. In the 2-0 win over the young Feyenoord Rotterdam two days later he scored his first goal in the national jersey. As a result, he established himself in the national team as a regular scorer and recommended his potential for tasks. On 6 February 2008, he stood first in the Swedish U21 national team, as he completed 45 minutes of play in the 0-3 defeat against Portuguese junior national team. In the half-time he was replaced by Rawez Lawan.

According to Fagerberg made ​​national and international attention and there were rumors quickly, clubs IFK Norrköping as well as Sampdoria were interested in him. However, for the 2008 season, he moved to Denmark for FC Midtjylland in the Super League, where he signed a three-year contract.

In his new employer Fagerberg could not permanently set in the root formation and fluctuated between the first eleven and substitutes' bench in the second half of the season 2007 /08.
