Ken G. Hall

Ken G. Hall ( Kenneth George Hall, born January 22, 1901 in Sydney / New South Wales, † February 8, 1994 ibid ) was an Australian film producer and director and screenwriter.

Hall was after visiting the North Sydney Boys' High School in 1916 a reporter for the Sydney Evening News. The following year he became an assistant to Gayne Dexter in the Department of Public Relations of the Union Theatres and Australasian Films. He also worked for the First National Pictures, which financed him in 1925 a study trip to Hollywood and New York.

Appeared in 1928 Halls first film The Exploits of the Emden. During this time he also met the actor Bert Bailey know. With him, he turned in 1930 when the production company Cinesound Productions, which he headed until the 1950s, a series of comedies about the Rudd family, which ran with great success. 1934 was the melodrama The Silence of Dan Maitland. Hall published two autobiographical books: Directed by Ken G. Hall ( 1970) and Australian Film: The Inside Story ( 1980).
