Ken Kercheval

Ken Kercheval ( born July 15, 1935 in Wolcottville, Indiana) is an American actor who is best known for his role as Cliff Barnes on the television series Dallas.

Life

Kercheval grew up in Clinton County ( Indiana). His parents were the doctor Marine Kercheval and Christine Rieber. Kercheval began his career on Broadway in 1962 with Something About a Soldier. Other roles have included The Apple Tree, Cabaret and Here's Where I Belong. On television, he was first seen in 1966, where he gave the doctor Nick Hunter in Search for Tomorrow. In the film, he was, for example, in The Seven - Ups with Roy Scheider and Tony Lo Bianco and FIST seen with Sylvester Stallone. In 1978, his breakthrough, as Cliff Barnes, in the television series Dallas. Ken Kercheval and Larry Hagman are the only two actors in the series, who played over the full term of Dallas, where Kercheval had taken only a minor role in the first two seasons of the series and only then got a lead role. 1993 Ken Kercheval ( a heavy smoker ) was diagnosed with lung cancer and removed part of his lung. The cancer disease is now considered over. He is involved in the early detection of cancer, but still remains a heavy smoker. Ken Kercheval was married three times and has five children. Today he lives ( a suburb of Los Angeles ), California Northridge. His new girlfriend suffers from multiple sclerosis and is temporarily confined to a wheelchair.

In the continuation of the Dallas TV series, he hatches after about twenty years back in the role of Cliff Barnes.
