Ken Purpur

Kenneth Richard purple ( born March 1, 1932 in Grand Forks, North Dakota, † June 5, 2011 in Rapid City, South Dakota ) was an American professional ice hockey player. His brother Fido Purple was also ice hockey player and active for five seasons in the National Hockey League.

Career

Kenneth purple attended from 1951 to 1954, the University of North Dakota. For the American ice hockey team, he participated in the Winter Olympics 1956 in Cortina d' Ampezzo, where he won the silver medal with his team. He then worked for 38 years as a teacher in Rapid City and was named 1990 Teacher of the Year in the city. A year earlier he had been admitted to the University of North Dakota Athletic Hall of Fame.
