Ken Scott (filmmaker)

Ken Scott (born 1970 in Quebec ) is a Canadian screenwriter, director and actor in Québec.

Life and achievements

He graduated from the Université du Québec à Montréal from in 1991, where he studied communication and screenwriter. His professional career began as a writer and performer of the comedy group Les Bizarroïdes and appeared at various festivals. Later he turned his attention increasingly to the film.

Scott was nominated for two screenplays at the Prix Jutra, namely in 2001 for his first feature film La Vie après l' amour and 2006 for the film Maurice Richard Hockey. In the award-winning film Maurice Richard Roy Dupuis played under the direction of Charles Binamé the title role. 2004, a Genie Award nomination Scotts for the script of the film comedy The great deception, in which Jean -François Pouliot directed. Two other nominations it was in 2007 at the 27th Genie Awards for screenplays of films Guide de la petite vengeance and Maurice Richard.

In 2013 he staged with The Lieferheld - Always expect the unexpected, a U.S. remake of his own film Starbuck, which was created in 2011.
