Kenadsa longwave transmitter

The long-wave transmitter Kenadsa is a transmitter of the Algerian broadcasting for dissemination of the first program ( Chaine 1) near Bechar.

The long-wave transmitter Kenadsa transmitting on the frequency 153 kHz with a transmitter power of 2000 kW, one of the most powerful radio stations in the world. Its transmitting antenna is arranged in a series of three, each 357 meters high, guyed lattice steel masts. Despite its high transmit power of these stations can be received only difficult in Central Europe because of the poor electrical conductivity of the desert soil causes a strong signal attenuation and its frequency is occupied by other strong stations in Europe.
