Kenduskeag is a small town in the state of Maine, Penobscot County, in the United States. It lies on the Kenduskeag stream and is the starting point of the Kenduskeag Stream Canoe Race ( Kenduskeag Stream Canoe Race ) held every year in April. The name comes from the Kenduskeag Abenaki language and means place to catch eels. Samuel de Champlain mentioned the place on his research trip in 1604, when he observed there Redskins while eel fishing.
Kenduskeag was founded in 1852 by merging the cities and Glenburn and Levant had the census of 2010, 1,348 inhabitants living on 43.5 km ².
