Kenia Sinclair

Kenya Sinclair (born 14 July 1980) is a Jamaican middle distance runner who is particularly successful in the 800 -meter run.

Career

At the World Championships in Helsinki in 2005 it was in the 800 meters semi-final third, but missed with a time of 1:59,45 minutes just to qualify for the final run. In March 2006, she won the silver medal over 800 meters at the World Indoor Championships in Moscow. Two weeks later she won at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne in a time of 1:58,16 minutes another silver medal at the same distance. In 2007, she retired at the World Championships in Osaka again in the semifinals, where she finished fifth with 2:00,25 minutes.

At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing she reached the 800 -meter final and came with a time of 1:58,24 minutes to sixth place.

In 2009, she did not come at the World Championships in Berlin for the third time in a World Cup semi-final on the addition. In 2010, she was at the Continental Cup in Athletics in Split Second 1:58,16 minutes. In 2011 she reached in her fourth World Cup finals at the world championships in Daegu for the first time a World Cup final and came here in a time of 1:58,66 minutes as Seventh to the finish.

She is a multiple Jamaican champion in the 800 -meter run and keeps with 1:57,88 minutes Jamaican record over this distance (as of June 2011). In the Jamaican Championships 2011, she not only won over the 800 meters, but also in the 1500 -meter run.
