Ken’ichi Takahashi

Ken'ichi Takahashi (Japanese高桥 健 一, Ken'ichi Takahashi, born January 16, 1973 in Kazuno ) is a former Japanese long-distance runner, who had his greatest successes in the road race.

In 1996, he won the 30 - km run from Kumamoto and 1997, the 10 - mile runs of Karatsu and Kosa. In 1998, he won the Sydney Marathon.

In 2000 he won the last edition of the Tokyo Half Marathon with the Japanese record time of 1:00:30 h, and won again in Kumamoto and Karatsu. In the Sendai Half Marathon, he finished second.

He was second in the Kagawa Marugame Half Marathon in 2001 and won the Tokyo International Women's Marathon and the Sendai Half Marathon. In a marathon, the World Athletics Championships in Edmonton, he came on the 26th place.
