Kennedy Island

The Island called Kasolo, Kennedy Iceland or Plum Pudding Iceland, is located in the Western Province of the Pacific island Republic Solomon Islands, about seven kilometers east of the main island Ghizo.

1943 wrecked the later U.S. President John F. Kennedy and his crew on the island after their PT- speed boat was sunk by the Japanese destroyer Amagiri.

The only 75 meters long and 25 meters wide, the island is uninhabited, but now and then visited by motorized inflatable boats that depart from cruise ships with their passengers.
