Kenogami Lake

The Lac Kenogami is an artificial lake in the Canadian province of Québec.

The dam is located 15 km south of Saguenay on the northern edge of the Laurentian mountains. It has a length in the east-west direction of 28 km. Its width varies between one and six kilometers. The reservoir was created in 1924 by the construction of several dams on the two rivers Rivière aux Sables and Rivière Chicoutimi. On the north side are the dams Barrage Barrage Pibrac Pibrac -Est and Ouest. At the east end of the lake is the Barrage de Portage -des- Roches. The lake is 51.8 km ². The capacity is 631 million cubic meters. At the two drains - Rivière aux Sables and Rivière Chicoutimi - there are several hydroelectric plants.

Most important tributaries of Lac Kenogami are coming from the south and Rivière Rivière Pikauba Cyriac. The catchment area of ​​3390 km ² comprises Lac Kenogami.
