Kent is a city with nearly 90,000 residents in the western part of the U.S. state of Washington. It is to Seattle, Bellevue and Federal Way is the fourth largest city in King County and is part of the Seattle metropolitan area.

History

Kent, on May 28 1890 a population of 793 to a community. Originally called Kent Titusville. A sign to remind of that name. In the 1960s and 1970s Kent was dominated by agriculture, earning her the nickname Lettuce Capital of the World ( German: world capital of salad ) earned.

Geography

In the urban area of Interstate 5 runs and in the city is through the adjacent Tukwila Interstate 405 Lake Meridian. The neighboring towns are Tukwila, Renton, Covington, Auburn, Federal Way, Des Moines and SeaTac.
