Kentzlin

Kentzlin is a municipality in the state of Mecklenburg -Western Pomerania district Mecklenburg Lake District. It is located about 16 kilometers south of Demmin, about eight kilometers north of Stavenhagen and about eight kilometers east of the Lake Kummerow. Until 1 July 2004, the municipality was part of the Office Borrentin and has since become part of the Office Demmin - country based in Demmin.

History

The first mention ( Cancelyn ) was at 1300. Founding of New Kentzlin was in 1764. The municipality changed on 3 June 1998 its name from New Kentzlin to New Kentzlin. On August 21, 2002, she was named Kentzlin.
