The Kenworth Truck Company was founded in 1923 by Frederick Kent and Edgar Worthington in Seattle (USA).

The company went public this clear from the Gersix Company, Edgar Worthington had been founded in 1900 in Seattle. Kenworth is still one of the major truck manufacturers in the United States.

1933, Kenworth in the U.S. the first truck with a diesel engine before. After the death of the managing director in 1944 Paccar Inc. bought the Kenworth brand, which is a subsidiary since then.

The best-known types are the W900 ( Conventional), the T600/T2000 ( Anteater ) and K100 ( Cabover ).
