Ken’ya Hara

Ken'ya Hara (Japanese原 研 哉, Hara Ken'ya; * 1958 in Okayama Prefecture, Empire of Japan ) is a Japanese graphic artist, designer and curator. He is regarded as the most influential designers of today's Japan and emphasizes the simplicity and simplicity both in things of daily use as well as in the use of colors or white in Japanese life.

Activities

1998 Hara designed the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Winter Games Nagano 1998. Since 2001 he has been director for the Japanese brand Muji, the trend markets operates. 2008 Hara developed together with the fashion company Kenzo the exterior of the perfume " Kenzo Power "

Hara Hara Design Institute at the head of the K. K. Nippon Design Center. The Institute was in 2006 for the design of the exhibition The Trip to Sesshu (English translation of雪舟 へ の 旅, Sesshū e no tabi ) in English Yamaguchi Prefectural Art Museum ( Yamaguchiken - ritsu Bijutsukan, Germanic " art museum in the Yamaguchi Prefecture " ) on responsible to the Japanese painter of the 15th century Sesshū Toyo.
