Kermit Roosevelt, Jr.

Kermit " Kim " Roosevelt Jr. ( born February 16, 1916 in Buenos Aires, Argentina; † August 8, 2000 ) was a CIA officer, son of Kermit Roosevelt and grandson of Theodore Roosevelt.

Together with the British agent Christopher Montague Woodhouse, he headed the operation TPAJAX 1953, which led to the overthrow of the Iranian prime minister Mohammad Mossadegh.

During the presidency of Harry S. Truman, it was not possible to perform this action. Only under President Dwight D. Eisenhower succeeded the two agents to obtain the approval of this operation.
