Kerprich-aux-Bois
Kerprich -aux -Bois ( German Kirchberg am Wald) is a commune of 147 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district Sarrebourg and Canton Sarrebourg.
Geography
Kerprich -aux -Bois is located about seven kilometers west of Sarrebourg at an altitude 257-314 m above sea level. The municipality covers 6.45 km ². The community has a stake in the west Etang du Stock ( stock pool ) and the Saar channel.
History
The town was first mentioned in 1178 as Kirchberg. The village belongs since 1661 to France.
From 1 October 1972 to 1 January 1984 formed Kerprich -aux -Bois, along with Diane -Capelle the community Diane -et- Kerprich.
