Kerry Washington
Kerry Washington ( born January 31, 1977 in New York City ) is an American actress. She is known for her role as Ray Charles ' wife, Della Bea Robinson, in the film Ray (2004), as Idi Amin's wife Kay in The Last King of Scotland - In the clutches of power and as Alicia Masters in the two films Fantastic Four ( 2005) Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007). She was also seen in the independent films Our Song and Dead Girl. Her most recent role was as Broomhilda of Shaft, Django's wife in Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained movie. In addition, she plays since 2012 the lead role of Olivia Pope in the television series Scandal.
Life
Washington was born in the Bronx, New York City, the daughter of Valerie, a professor and educational consultant, and Earl Washington, a real estate agent. Her mother is of Jamaican origin. In 1998, she completed her theater studies at the George Washington University. She was engaged to be married October 2004 to March 2007 with David Moscow.
In June 2013 Kerry Washington married the professional football player Nnamdi Asomugha.
