Kerstin Avemo

Kerstin Avemo ( born October 27, 1973 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish opera singer (soprano, coloratura soprano).

Life

She studied at the Academy of Music in Stockholm. Her breakthrough came in 2002 at the Gothenburg Opera with the part of Lulu in the eponymous opera by Alban Berg. She subsequently appeared in various opera houses such as the Frankfurt Opera, the Zurich Opera House, at the La Monnaie Theatre and the Royal Opera Copenhagen. Her repertoire ranges from the Violetta (La Traviata ) on the Gretel ( Hansel and Gretel ) to Julia in Roméo et Juliette. She has performed at many festivals and inter alia at the Palais des Beaux Arts, the Théâtre des Champs- Élysées and the Berliner Philharmonie.
