Kesten (municipality)

Kesten is a municipality in the district of Bernkastel -Wittlich, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of Bernkastel- Kues. Kesten is a nationally recognized tourist.

Geographical location

Kesten is surrounded by vineyards in the natural and cultural landscape of the Moselle valley of the Trier region, and is located in a small valley widening on the left bank of the river. Nearest resources centers are Bernkastel -Kues and Wittlich. The university town of Trier is located around 28 kilometers as the crow flies. The municipality also includes the living space Dreimühlen.

Climate
