Ket people
The ketene (Russian кеты / kety; proper name ket ( "man" ) or deng ( " people ", "people" ); historical name: Yenisey Ostyaks ) are one of the 44 " Indigenous Peoples of the Russian North ". In the census of 2002 reported 1494 people to be ketischer nationality.
The ketene live in the Krasnoyarsk region, where mainly in Rajon Turuchansk left of the Yenisei and the former Autonomous District of the Evenki of the great river live two relatively distinct subgroups.
Language
The Ketische language belongs to the group of Paleo-Siberian languages and within this the only language spoken to this day from the Jenisseischen language family. 1989 reported 48% of the ketene to give the Ketische as their mother tongue.
