Kéthely

Kéthely is a municipality in the Hungarian county of Somogy. The place is located about four kilometers from the south-western end of Lake Balaton and extends about three kilometers along the main road 68 Balatonszentgyörgy after Kaposvar. Kéthely has about 2,400 inhabitants. The landscape around Kéthely is also characterized by swampy Nagy Berek and the west of the village altitude vineyards and wooded hills.

Attractions

  • Church in the Baroque style, which was built in 1714 and rebuilt in 1733.
  • Hunyadi Castle in the district Sáripuszta, which was built in 1760 in Baroque style, is now largely empty and is urgently in need of renovation after a fire in 1986.
  • Vineyard chapel of 1870, will be held in the fairs to Mary pilgrimage.
