Keti Chomata

Keti chomata (Greek Καίτη Χωματά, first name real name Aikaterini Αικατερίνη, * October 24, 1946, . † October 24, 2010 in Athens ) was a Greek singer of the so-called Greek New Wave.

Life

Keti chomata lived in the Athens Plaka. She studied classical dance and engaged at a young age with the song. Giannis Spanos discovered her talent when he was coming from France, looking for the voice of the new Greek wave.

She has recorded about 200 titles and publishes about 18 records. One of her biggest hits was " Μια αγάπη για το καλοκαίρι " ( " A Summer Love "). She sang in addition to Greeks abroad and has achieved success in Canada, the U.S. and Germany.

She was married and had two daughters. She died on 24 October 2010 at the age of 64 years as a result of cancer.
