Kevin Gallacher

Kevin Gallacher ( born November 23, 1966 in Clydebank, Scotland ) is a former Scottish footballer.

Career

The 1.73 meter tall Scot began his career in 1983 at Dundee United in Scotland. In 1990 he left Dundee United. In seven years he played there 131 games, scoring 27 goals. His second stop was Coventry City, where he was until 1993 under contract. In 1993 he played in the English Premier League at Blackburn Rovers, where he scored 47 goals in 146 games. 1999 Gallacher was engaged by Newcastle United. In 2001 he moved to Preston North End. However, he played only one year. Gallacher last two stations were both in 2002. Three games he completed for Sheffield Wednesday, seven for Huddersfield Town. Gallacher was also the Scottish national team and took part in Scotland, among others, at the European Championship in Sweden in 1992, the 1996 European Championship in England, as well as the 1998 World Cup in France. In 53 international matches, the center forward scored nine goals.

Achievements

To Gallacher greatest successes reaching the UEFA Cup final with Dundee United is one in 1987, where he lost by return match 2-1 against IFK Göteborg. In 1995 he was English champion with Blackburn Rovers, even though he had most of the season because of a broken foot, exposing.
