Kevin Granata

Kevin P. Granata ( born December 29, 1961April 16, 2007 in Blacksburg, Virginia) was an American biomechanics.

Kevin Granata acquired in 1984 from the Ohio State University, a bachelor's degree in biomechanics. In 1986, he completed a postgraduate course as a master at Purdue University. In 1993 he received his doctorate in biomechanics, again at Ohio State University. Granata developed an expert for orthopedic research. Since 2005, he taught as an associate professor at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University ( " Virginia Tech" ) in Blacksburg the mechanical basics of muscle reflexes and robotics. He was among the leaders of his profession in the United States and was co-editor of scientific journals, Journal of Applied Biomechanics and the Journal of Electromyography & Kinesiology.

Granata was killed in the shooting rampage at Virginia Tech on April 16, 2007.
