Sports career

Kevin Hansen began his professional career in the 2001/ 02 season at Hansa Rostock in the Bundesliga. On the final day of the season, the away match against FC Bayern Munich, he came on in the 70th minute. Only twelve minutes later Hansen scored his first Bundesliga goal. The following season Hansen came eight times used. In the seasons 2003/ 04 and 2004/ 05 he was repeatedly thrown back by injuries and played two years not for the first team.

For the 2005/06 season the second division side FC Erzgebirge Aue wanted him to commit. He had completed the preparation of the Erzgebirge, but injured himself again in a test, whereby its obligation was reversed. FC Hansa Rostock, which was relegated in season 2004/ 05, a new contract offered to him. In the second division next season Hansen was twelve times on the pitch, scoring two goals. 2006/ 07 it rose again with Hansa Rostock in the first Bundesliga, and a contribution of six inserts.

After climbing Hansa had not renewed his contract. Then Hansen remained in the 2nd Bundesliga and moved as two years previously planned for FC Erzgebirge Aue. Because of injuries, he came in the Erzgebirge but to no use, so he had to quit a year later his career as an athlete.

Hansen then returned to his north German homeland and plays since the Hamburg state league team Hamm United FC.
