Kevin Hart (poet)

Kevin Hart (born 1954 in England) is an Australian poet and literary critic. He grew up in London and Brisbane. He attended the Australian National University in Canberra and the University of Melbourne. In 2001, he left Australia to take up a post at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana.

Hart is regarded as one of the leading poets of Australia. With his poetry he has won numerous awards, including the NSW Premier 's Literary Award and the Victorian Premier 's Literary Award for poetry.
