Kevin Hodson

Kevin Hodson ( born March 27, 1972 in Winnipeg, Manitoba ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender who played for the Detroit Red Wings and Tampa Bay Lightning in the National Hockey League.

Career

Kevin Hodson began his career in the Canadian Junior Football League OHL with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. He was never drafted, but signed in 1992 as a so-called free agent contract in the NHL for the Chicago Blackhawks, but he remained another year in the OHL, where he and his team the Memorial Cup, the most coveted trophy in the Canadian Junior Hockey, won. In addition, he was named the best goalkeeper of the Memorial Cup tournament. Besides, he completed 14 games for the Indianapolis Ice, the farm team of Chicago in the IHL.

After the season, his contract ran out in Chicago and he was in the summer of 1993, a new in the Detroit Red Wings.
