Kevin Hofland ( born June 7, 1979 in Brunssum ) is a former Dutch football player.
Family and Naming
Kevin Hofland was born in 1979 as the son of footballer Hub Hofland and a österreichischstämmigen mother in the Limburg Brunssum. His first name is a tribute to Kevin Keegan, of the Hamburger SV won the German championship one day before Kevin Hoflands birth.

Fortuna Sittard
The defender began his career as a professional in 1997 at Fortuna Sittard. In October of the same year Kevin Hofland then made his debut at age 17 in the Eredivisie. In the following years he was able to secure a regular place in Sittard. Hofland occupied with Sittard in three seasons each have a place in the lower third. His achievements were other not hidden. PSV Eindhoven
Kevin Hofland followed for season 2000/ 01 the call by the former PSV coach Eric Gerets and immediately became a regular player and performer in the new club. Kevin Hofland promised from his move to Wolfsburg to return to the national team and wanted to VfL Wolfsburg help to international honors. On 7 August 2004, he made his debut for Wolfsburg, as he stood at the start in the Bundesliga against Borussia Dortmund in the starting eleven. Hofland conquered in the period following a regular place. Contrary to his announcement to help Wolfsburg to international honors, he played with the club in his first season in midfield - although the ninth place in the table enough in the first season for the qualification for the Intertoto Cup - and over the next two seasons to avoid relegation.
Feyenoord Rotterdam
For the season 2007/ 08 Hofland returned to his homeland and signed for Feyenoord Rotterdam. In his first season Hofland came for Feyenoord in 27 games for use and scoring one goal. With this club he won in his first season the Dutch Cup with a 2-0 final win against Roda JC Kerkrade. The final was also his only use in the cup competition. The following season he came in 20 games for use. Here, he scored one goal and had one prepared. Furthermore, could not be missing five appearances in the UEFA Cup. 2009/10, he lost his place and only came in eight games (one goal ) for use.
AEK Larnaca
For the 2010/11 season Hofland was loaned to the Cypriot AEK Larnaca, where his compatriot Jordi Cruyff was technical director. There Hofland conquered a permanent place. After half a year the loan arrangement was transferred to a complete change. At season's end, there were 22 times and scored five goals in the game operating point and three appearances in the champions round. Kevin Hofland came the following season due to injury then in only eleven games used. In the meantime made AEK Larnaca international sensation. They stood in the group stage of the Europa League. Kevin Hofland came in the group stage of this competition in only three games for use. 2012 had to end his career because of injuries Hofland.
National
Shortly after his move to PSV Eindhoven, in the fall of 2000, Hofland celebrated his debut in the senior national team of the Netherlands. In the following years a further five inserts were added in the national team. He was regarded at the time as the " coming defensive man." Because of its autumn starting in 2002 due to injury default Hofland lost his place not only in Eindhoven, but also in the national team to Wilfred Bouma. Consequently Dick Advocaat Hofland also not nominated for the Dutch squad for the European Championship finals tournament in 2004. From his move to VfL Wolfsburg to Hofland, associated with the return to the Dutch " Oranje " had a better prospect of participating in the World Cup finals in 2006 hoped. Hofland was retrieved on August 3, 2004 in the " Oranje " after Advocaat's successor, Marco van Basten, mustered him for the friendly match on 18 August 2004 in Sweden.
