Kevin Klein

Kevin Klein ( born December 13, 1984 in Kitchener, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He currently plays for the New York Rangers in the National Hockey League on the position of the defender.

Career

In 2000, Kevin Klein began his career with the Toronto St. Michael's Majors in the Ontario Hockey League. After playing three years for this team, Klein was pulled in the second round to 37th place in the NHL Entry Draft in 2003 by the Nashville Predators. He then spent a further season in the OHL, where he played initially for the Toronto St. Michael's Majors and thereafter for the Guelph Storm.

After a total of four seasons in the OHL, he played briefly for the Rockford IceHogs in the United Hockey League. Due to its good performance, the Predators took him to Milwaukee to their farm team in the AHL, where he regularly came into use until 2007. During this time he also came to five appearances for the Predators in the National Hockey League. Since the 2008/ 09 season, he belongs to the root cadres of the Nashville Predators. Of the Predators it was sold in January 2014 the New York Rangers, who received for the defender Michael Del Zotto.
