Kevin Peter Hall

Kevin Peter Hall ( May 9, 1955 in Pittsburgh, † April 10, 1991 in Hollywood ) was an American actor.

Curriculum vitae

Kevin Peter Hall grew up in Pittsburgh, where he attended the Penn Hills Senior High School and successfully played basketball. After high school, Hall was awarded a scholarship at George Washington University in Washington. There he continued to play basketball, but studied theater. On the successful completion he spent one year in Venezuela.

Back in the U.S., Hall met Jay Fenichel, whom he knew from the university, and they wrote two shows, which they performed in nightclubs. In addition, the two operated an office in which they offered her acting talents for product advertising. At this time, both also played roles in television productions. Hall was by his above-average height (2.20 m ) for this actor for monsters and aliens, but also played unmasked some guest roles (eg, in the final episode of The Dukes of Hazzard ). A little career boost in 1985 earned him a starring role in the television series The Misfits, but this was discontinued after only 16 episodes. In 1987 he played the creatures in Harry and the Hendersons and Predator. In the latter Hall is also seen briefly unmasked as a helicopter pilot.

His last main roles were again the creatures in Predator 2, and the sitcom Harry and the Hendersons, a spin -off of the film Harry and the Hendersons. The role of the Bigfoot took over after Hall's death Dawan Scott, who had played two minor roles in The Misfits already. As of 1992, Brian Steele stuck in the fur costume.

From 1989 to 1990 Hall starred in the series with 227. During the filming, he met Alaina Reed know. The two married in 1989, both in the series, as well as in real life.

In the fall of 1990 he was injured in a traffic accident. During the treatment he got a HIV infected blood products. On April 10, 1991 Hall died as a result of his weakened immune system from pneumonia.
