Concert and sports hall KeyArena is located in Seattle, Washington. It is home to, among others, the Seattle Storm of the Women's National Basketball Association, and by 2009 the Seattle Thunderbirds of the Western Hockey League.

History

The Key Arena was opened in 1962 under the name 21 Exposition Seattle Center Coliseum as part of the World's Fair Century. The renovation in 1994 cost the city of Seattle $ 74.5 million and the Seattle SuperSonics about 21 million dollars. During the renovation, the SuperSonics in the Tacoma Dome and the Thunderbirds in Kent Events Center played. When the KeyBank to the naming rights of the Seattle Center Coliseum secured, the stadium was renamed KeyArena.

In basketball games in the hall have 17,098 spectators at hockey games 15,177 spectators.
