Keyboard buffer

The keyboard buffer is a memory ( buffer) for character strokes coming from the keyboard of a computer. Entered on a keyboard character will first be stored in the keyboard buffer until they can be processed by the operating system. This caching allows the entry of ( quickly typed or many ) characters without losing these, even if the system is busy and they can not be processed temporarily. The sequence of characters is preserved (First In - First Out).
