Keyshia Cole

Keyshia Cole ( * October 15, 1981 in Oakland, California) is an American soul and R & B singer.

Career

Attention gained Cole - who had worked until then only as a songwriter - the first time in the spring of 2000, when they the most recent albums by D' Wayne Wiggins and Messy Marv lent her voice as Gastinterpretin. The end of 2003 it was taken from A & M Records as a solo artist under contract. First public concerts, promotional appearances and cameos in several music videos followed, before the summer of 2005 with The Way It Is Her debut album, on which a variety of high-level productions of Alicia Keys, Kanye West and John Legend found again. The record sold in the U.S. alone more than one million units and brought a total of four more or less successful single releases out. Then the singer was in a six-part reality documentary entitled Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is seen that accompanied Cole on tour.

In 2006, she played along with the Jamaican dancehall singer Sean Paul the title ( When You Gonna ) Give It Up to Me from the album The Trinity new one. The remix was released in July of the same year as a single and title track to the movie Step Up Music and reached the top 5 in the U.S. Billboard charts. Then Cole could be heard among other things, the single new releases from Young Jeezy and P. Diddy.

In the fall of 2007 she released her second album Just Like You, on the collaborated with the singer Kanye West, Missy Elliott, John Legend and R. Kelly. The video for the first single, Let It Go, participated at the Elliott and Lil 'Kim, was filmed in Los Angeles.
