KF Elbasani

The Klubi Futboll Elbasani is an Albanian football club from Elbasan, playing in the second highest league.

History

The club was built in 1923 under the name Klubi Futbollit Urani Elbasan, as the clubs Aferdita Elbasan Elbasan and Perparimi were merged. 1930 Urani played in the newly-founded the first Albanian League. 1932, the club was renamed KS Skampa Elbasan before 1939 KS Bashkimi was found as a new name. 1949 received the association 's name KS Elbasani, but baptized only a year later in Puna Elbasan to. Following the first ascent to the first division in 1958, it was decided to rename itself KS Labinoti Elbasan.

1984, the first championship was won. In the following season they played for the first time in the European Cup, but retired in the first round against Vardar Skopje. In 1991, the club won back the old name KS Elbasani; But in 1997 they changed it back to the present name KF Elbasani.

After being re- ascended to the first division in 2002, celebrated the Club 2006 the second championship title. In the Champions League qualification, the team had to retire, however, in the first round against Ekranas Panevezys in Lithuania.

2009 was one Table and climbed into the Kategoria e Pare off, but could rise in second again in the following year, but by 2011 need to be and stay again recently.
