KF Teuta Durrës

Klubi Sportiv Teuta Durrës is an Albanian football club based in the port city of Durres.

The association, whose greatest achievement is winning the Albanian Cup 1994, currently plays in the first division.

Teuta Durres plays in the 12,000 spectators comprehensive stadium Niko Dovana.

History

The club was founded in 1925 under the name of KS Urani, but already renamed two years later in SK Durrës. In 1930 he received the first time the present name, as Teuta Durrës starred in the first championship. After the war the club in 1946 was named Ylli i Kuq Durrës KS, 1950, he was again renamed to SK Durrës. He retained this name only one year to enroll in Puna Durrës rename. 1958 was the club 's name KS Lokomotiva Durres and managed 1959 promotion back to the Premier League. The descent after only one year followed by the immediate re- ascent. Since then, playing in the first division. In 1991, the club regained its present name. After winning the only previous Cup 1994 Teuta Durrës played the following season for the first time in the European Cup and was represented several times since then, by checking three times the national cup competition could decide for themselves and twice runner-up were - most recently in the past season 2011/12.
