Kfar Darom

Kefar Darom (Hebrew כפר דרום "Village of the South ") was a Jewish settlement in the Gaza Strip.

By August 2005, lived in Kfar Darom about 60 families and nearly 500 people. The place was in an isolated few kilometers northeast of the settlement block Gush Katif and was therefore repeatedly target of Palestinian attacks.

As part of the Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip Kfar Darom was evacuated on 18 August 2005 under considerable resistance of the settlers who had recently holed up in the synagogue, by the Israeli army and police.
