KGHM Polska Miedź

KGHM Polska Miedź is a Polish metal mining companies based in Lubin. The company is listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange share index WIG 20. The Polish Ministry of the Treasury in 2010 were 31.79 % of the KGHM shares.

Business

KGHM is based copper ( 571,000 tonnes in 2011) and silver ( 1260 t in 2011 ), but also gold, lead and rock salt. The company achieved in 2011 with 18 615 employees generated sales of 20.1 billion zloty. The ores are smelted in a separate copper smelter in Legnica. KGHM is an average of 1,200 tons of annual promotion of the EU's main producer of silver and 9th in the world.
