Khachmaz (city)
Xaçmaz, also Khachmaz, is a city in Azerbaijan. It is the capital of the district Xaçmaz. The city has about 39,000 inhabitants in 2008. The city is located south of the port city Khudat, 10 km from the Caspian Sea.
Culture
In the city there is a carpet museum and a museum dedicated to the history of the region, and a city park.
Traffic
Through the city's railroad in the Azərbaycan Dövlət Dəmir Yolu runs from Baku to Russia, as well as the highway. Xaçmaz is connected to the bus network in the country.
