Khadzhimurat Akkayev
Chadschimurat Magomedowitsch Akkajew (Russian Хаджимурат Магомедович Аккаев, scientific transliteration Chadžimurat Magomedovič Akkaev; born March 27, 1985 in Tyrnyaus, Kabardino- Balkar ASSR, Russian SFSR, USSR ) is a Russian weightlifter balkarischer origin.
Sporting career
Akkajew entered already internationally as a teenager in appearance. In 2000, he won gold at the European Championships for young people in Kosice in the weight class up to 76 kg 297.5 kg ( 135.0 / 162.5 kg ) in single combat. A year later, he scored at the same event already 330.0 kg ( 150.0 kg/180, 0 kg) in the light heavyweight division to 85 kg. At the Junior World Championships in 2003 in Hermosillo Akkajew got competition for the first time and finished with 370.0 kg ( 170.0 / 200.0 kg ) took second place in the Medium weight to 94 kg. In this weight class Akkajew now remained for the next six years.
In the Olympic year 2004 joined Akkajew one last time at a World Junior Championships and was able to 400.0 kg ( 185.0 / 215.0 kg ) recommend in a duel for the Olympic Games in Athens, where he with 405.0 kg ( 185.0 / 220.0 kg ) fulfilled the expectations and ranked second behind Milen Dobrew, who lifted 407.5 kg, and ahead of his countryman Eduard Tjukin, who scored 397.5 kg, finished.
2005 Akkajew tested positive and locked up in 2007 by the IMF.
Without having denied an international competition after his doping suspension, Akkajew approached at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, where he pulled 185.0 kg and 217.0 kg thrust. The thus obtained 402.0 kg in single combat earned him a bronze medal in Medium weight up to 94 kg behind Ilya Ilyin with 406.0 kg and 403.0 kg with Szymon Kołecki. In the actual medal fight but Akkajew could not intervene because his coach decided it in the B group of the event permit start.
2010 started Akkajew first time at a European Championship. In Minsk, he was able to bring a valid attempt in the snatch and then ended his race. Since then Akkajew went to a local competition with 102.6 kg of body weight in the heavyweight division to 105 kg, and scored 425.0 kg ( 195.0 / 230.0 kg ) in his new weight class.
