Khaen Dong District

Amphoe khaen Dong ( Thai: อำเภอ แคน ดง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the north of the province of Buriram. The Buriram province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Neighboring districts ( from the southeast clockwise): Amphoe Satuek the Ban Khu Mueang Dan and Buriram Province and Amphoe Chumphon Buri in the province of Surin.

History

Khaen Dong was on 1 July 1997 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by being separated from Amphoe Satuek.

On 15 May 2007, the Thai government had decided that all 81 King Amphoe to rise in the simple Amphoe status to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette " Issue 124 chapter 46" of 24 August 2007, this decision officially entered into force.

Management

The county khaen Dong is divided into four subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 61 villages ( Muban ).

Khaen Dong ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล แคน ดง ) is also the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district, it consists of parts of the tambon khaen Dong.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
