Khaled Ali

Khaled Ali (Arabic: خالد علي, DMG ʿ Alī halide; born February 26, 1972 in Daqahlia, Egypt ) is an Egyptian lawyer and political activist and director of the Egyptian Centre for Economic and Social Rights.

Life

Khaled Ali Omar has seven siblings, three sisters and four brothers. He is the second oldest son. Elementary and middle school he attended in his native village. In 1990 he took up his studies at the Law Faculty of the University of Zagazig and graduated in 1996 from. Khaled lives in Cairo. As a lawyer, he supported since 1995, especially the concerns of the workers and is active against the nationwide corruption.

The Egyptian Centre for Economic us Social Rights ( ECESR ) he founded in 2009. Moreover, he is a founding member and executive director of the Hisham Mubarak Law Center ( HMLC ).

He received at his presidential candidacy for the presidential elections in Egypt in 2012 with 134 056 votes a voter share of 0.58 %. Ali is currently a member of any party.
