Khao Saming District

Amphoe Khao Saming ( Thai: อำเภอ เขาสมิง ) is a district ( Amphoe ) of the province ( Changwat ) Trat in the western central region of Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Khlung at Chantaburi province, as well as Amphoe Bo Rai, Mueang Trat and Laem Ngop in Trat province.

History

The county was founded in 1898, its name has changed several times in the past. At first he was called Si Bua Thong, Thung Yai and then finally Khao Saming, as the administration building was moved to Ban Tha Kathon in Tambon Khao Saming. The present building took on 14 February 2000 on his work.

Traffic

In Amphoe Khao Saming is the regional airport in Trat.

Management

Amphoe Khao Saming is ( tambon) divided into eight municipalities, which in turn in 66 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

There are two small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Khao Saming ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เขาสมิง ) consists of the whole tambon Khao Saming and Thung nonsi.
  • Saen Tung ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล แสน ตุ้ง ) consists of parts of the Tambon Saen Tung,

There are also eight administrative organizations ( " Tambon Administrative Organizations" - TAO, Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ).
