Khaosai Galaxy

Khaosay Galaxy ( born May 15, 1959 as Sura Saenkham in Phetchabun, Thailand ) is a former Thai boxer.

Professional career

The southpaw Galaxy 1980 pro. His seventh battle for the Thai Bantamweight title he lost on points, it was the only loss of his career.

In 1984, he won a battle for the vacant WBA super flyweight championship. The title he defended then seven years successfully. In 1987, he beat the title holder of the IBF, Ellyas Pical, but its not officially belt was at stake. After these defeats Pical its title, however, was denied.

1988 his twin brother was Khaokor Galaxy title holder of the WBA bantamweight.

Besides Pical are from Ring Magazine Rafael Oroño from Venezuela, David Griman called Israel Contreras and Yong Kang Kim as his most respected opponents. The magazine lists him as best Superfliegengewichtler of all time, but the weight is not particularly rich in tradition.

After 19 title defenses Galaxy resigned in 1991. He had won 17 of 20 title bouts by knockout. In 1991, he was inducted into the "Hall of Fame" of boxing.
