Khemisti

Columnata was an ancient city in the Roman province of Mauretania Caesariensis. It was conquered in AD 30 by the Romans in the year. Augustus founded a colony, were settled in the mainly veterans of the Legio II Augusta. It was an agricultural center.

The archaeological site is located in the modern city Khemisti in the Algerian province Tissemsilt.
