Khlong Hoi Khong District
Khlong Hoi Khong ( Thai: คลอง หอยโข่ง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Songkhla. The Songkhla province in Southern Thailand is located on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand.
Geography
Neighboring districts and areas (from north clockwise): Amphoe Hat Yai and Sadao the province of Songkhla and Amphoe Khuan Kalong in the province of Satun.
History
Khlong Hoi Khong was on 1 April 1992 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the three Tambon Khlong Hoi Khong, Khok Muang and Amphoe Thung Lan from Hat Yai were separated. On October 11, 1997 Khlong Hoi Khong has been promoted to Amphoe.
Traffic
In Amphoe Khlong Hoi Khlong is the Hat Yai International Airport.
Management
Amphoe Khlong Hoi Khong is divided into four subdistricts ( tambon), which further into 32 villages ( Muban ) are divided.
There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
