Khok Charoen District

Amphoe Khok Charoen ( Thai: อำเภอ โคก เจริญ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Lopburi. The Lopburi province is located in central Thailand.

Geography

Adjacent Amphoe are seen from the North: Amphoe Phaisali the province of Nakhon Sawan, the Amphoe Wichian Buri and Si Thep Phetchabun province and Amphoe Chai Badan, Amphoe Nong Muang Amphoe Sa Bot and the province of Lopburi.

The most important body of water is the River Pasak, in whose valley of the archaeological place Khok Charoen was discovered, which makes BC close to a settlement since about 1400.

History

Amphoe Khok Charoen was born on March 8, 1987 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by four Tambon Khok Samrong were separated from Amphoe. On November 4, 1993 Khok Charoen got the full Amphoe status.

Management

The circle is divided into five subdistricts (tambon ) divided, the further in 53 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

There are also five " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
