Khok Samrong District

Amphoe Khok Samrong ( Thai: อำเภอ โคกสำโรง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the center of the province of Lopburi. The Lopburi province is located in the northeast of the central region of Thailand.

The county is the transportation center of the province.

Geography

Adjacent Amphoe are seen from the north: the Amphoe Nong Muang, Sa Bot, Chai Badan, Phatthana Nikhom, Mueang Lop Buri and Amphoe Ban Mi All are also located in the province of Lopburi.

History

The original name of the district was Phu Kha. As a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) it was renamed in 1909 in Sa Bot. 1915, the District has been promoted to Amphoe Khok Samrong and simultaneously renamed as the administration building of the district was transferred to this Tambon.

The Lopburi Campus of Kasetsart University is located in Tambon Phaniat.

Management

The circle is in 13 subdistricts (tambon ) divided, the further into 137 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

Khok Samrong itself has a small-town status ( thesaban tambon) and covers parts of tambon Khok Samrong.

There are also 13 " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
