Khok Si Suphan District

Amphoe Khok Si Suphan ( Thai อำเภอ โคก ศรีสุพรรณ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of the province of Sakon Nakhon. The Sakon Nakhon Province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

The Amphoe Khok Si Suphan is the southeast corner of the province of Sakon Nakhon and borders from the south clockwise as seen at the Amphoe Tao Ngoi, Mueang Sakon Nakhon and Phon Na Kaeo Sakon Nakhon province, as well as to the Amphoe Na Kae Wang Yang and the province of Nakhon Phanom.

History

The Amphoe Khok Si Suphan arose from a formed May 5, 1981 Small district ( King Amphoe ), which was formed from the Tambon Tong Khop, Lao Phon Muang Kham Kho and Dan, which previously belonged to Amphoe Nakhon Sakon. On 9 May 1992 was this advancement to a full Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe Khok Si Suphan consists of four sub-districts ( tambon), which further into 52 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There is a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Tong Khop ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ตอง โข บ ) consists of the whole tambon Tong Khop.

There are also three " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
