Kholm (Afghanistan)

Kholm (also Khulm, formerly Tash Kurgan; Pashto / Dari: خلم ) is a city in the province of Balkh in Afghanistan, 60 km from Mazār -i -Sharif removed. According to calculations by 2012, the city has a population of 16,597 inhabitants. The city was renamed as part of the Paschtunisierung.

In December 2010, an advisor to the KfW banking group was killed near the city. He should supervise the construction of a road from Kholm after Mazār -i -Sharif.
